Hey there!
I'm Kristina, the founder and designer behind fwd design co. I design both customer-facing products and the operational systems that power teams.
I built my career at the intersection of information, systems, and people. This perspective means I understand both what your customers experience and what your team navigates daily. Ultimately, they both need the same things: clarity about what's happening and why.
What makes me different:
I combine business strategy (MBA), information science (how people find and organize information, MLIS), and ux design. This mix means I understand not just the visual design, but how to make systems people can navigate and understand.
Two types of work I do:
Product Design: Research-driven design that users love and drives business results.
Operations Design: Internal systems design that helps teams navigate complexity. This is where my enterprise experience (Workday, HR platforms, information management) meets my design expertise.
If you're looking for a design partner who asks the right questions and understands both products and operations, I'm your person. I'm based in Northern Michigan, work with clients globally, and spend my non-design hours coaching high school cross country.
